Thank you Hellorian
Points noted.
As former crew of another Singapore-owned 'cat' of an airline, it could be worse.
I'm assuming the manuals are up-to-date and you don't have to pay for crew water if it runs out.
Even if it's short-term, there'll still be the mandatory 4-5 weeks fully-paid training - dowsing fires and exacuating aircrafts at the sim etc etc.
For potential flying opportunities in a close-knit, 3 player industry where politics outweighs competence, any flying hours on the cv is positive.
I'd rather (if it was me) rock up to an assessment day with flying experience than call-centre experience. But I am Gen X, not Gen Y, so I don't expect everything to arrive on my table tray yesterday.
And I'd say, potential employers will pick up the speed of attitudes in the assessment centres.
Happy trails,
'Rotate' :-)
