The TTMRA agreement between CASA and NZCAA can assist in some of these cases as well Luke. Silly as it sounds, I would also consider UK ATPL-> CASA ATPL with A330 rating -> NZ ATPL without 330 rating.
End result being at least your home country ATPL without the NZATPL flight test, and a non-Qatar ATPL with your 330 type on it. You'll need currency on the UK end, and medical, to convert to CASA, if they don't like the Qatari licence. You may need to do an Australian medical, there's probably a DME in the UK who can do you a CASA Class 1.
