Recognition of aircraft type ratings
Detail regarding the recognition of aircraft type ratings that have been gained overseas are
published in Advisory Circular AC61-1.10.
This may be accessed on the CAA website. “Rules and More/Advisory Circulars
(ACs)/AC61-1.10.” Look on page 5 under the heading “Foreign Type Ratings.”
NOTE: CAA will neither recognize nor issue overseas type ratings for aircraft types that do
not appear on the NZ civil register
