The original JQ EBA has provision for Casual flight attendants, and the conditions are fair - not over or underpaid.
I thought MAMers now got Staff Travel?
I couldn't find any info about casual employment in the Team JQ eba.
I guess all will be revealed on the big day (one would hope), but I really think that the conditions are dependent on whether its under the current JQ eba provisions for casuals (the EBA is fairly specific), or whether its outsourced and a new employment agreement is created.
As for staff travel, it's a benefit that is sure to guarantee that many of those whom they recruit in the coming months, stick around. From a cost saving point of view (recruitment and training is expensive), it would be a very sound investment. My understanding was that MAM introduced it for this very reason - staff retention, less training, at ultimately a minimal expense to the company.
I could be wrong - and time will tell.
Good luck. x
