One of my friends took VR from BA. When I saw her a couple of weeks ago, she told me she had been sent a ballot paper even though she was leaving before the outcome of the ballot.
I suggested to her she shouldn't have been given one, to which she shrugged her shoulders and said well it's going back with a YES vote.
UNITE have shot themselves in the foot badly with the mishandling of the vote asides the apocalyptic response to being given a mandate for industrial action. The public is not on their side and other departments realising the gravity of BA's financial predicament, allowed their unions to negotiate sensible changes to their working T & Cs.
