After reading this i checked an old Jersey European timetable from 1988 i still have. It had flights from Bournemouth to Jersey and Guernsey three times daily (4 on mon, fri) with 5 flights on Sat and Sun using a BOH based Fokker F-27.
They didnt operate any flights to Southampton in 1988 - why!? Was it Air UK at Southampton doing the CI routes back then?
I agree with MARKYD and Nakata77 - there has to be some sort of market remaining for the BOH catchment. BOH conurbation totals 400,000 (largest city in South after Bristol) and there are NO channel islands flights. It doesnt make sense. Especially given BOH's rather appropriate population for CI!!!
