I'm with you IO540......
It would be an interesting project, rebuilding this with say a Garmin 500 and all other new stuff would improve the economics, but it would take a year or more and you would need a hangar to work in in the meantime.
And then of course you would still need to find a buyer unless you wanted it for yourself but as you say you can probably buy similar airworthy example for a lot less. It also begs the question what happened to the engine; which would a least have some core value (perhaps)?
