Thanks Clint ; that was a real guess,as I thought that was the river at the left of the picture.In the winter of `69 we were doing icing trials in Ottawa,and heard about a Lysander that was going to fly at Rockliffe,so we went down there to watch and chat,as one of the trials managers had been a flight -test assistant/`gingerbeer` at `the Glove Factory`(Wetlands) in the war and had time on Lizzies, and the engine rep with us had knowledge of the Mercury and it`s foibles. Anyway much advice was shared,and eventually it flew successfully, on the first rotation on t/o,the mains lifted,and it rotated about the tailwheel..Later,I became a member of the Rockliffe flying club,and spent time down there flying ski-equipped Aernockers and Citabrias,great fun....
