Nav Canada a good option?! You have to pay for your aptitude test; pay over $3000 for IFR training and don't expect to receive a salary for anything from 6-12 months (depending on your specialty).
Hmmm, as opposed to the couple of thousand that will be paid for airfare/accommodation for the interviews (3 now?) in the UK?????? I'd check very carefully just what an ANSP will reimburse for "travel costs".....unless something has drastically changed (which I doubt), an ab-initio applicant probably wouldn't receive reimbursement for an international trip.
Dude, the upfront cost with Nav Can can be a limiting factor for many, but YVR ACC has a decent reputation in Training and Check out percentage.
