This is a slight thread drift, but when it comes to doing an MECIR, Essendon is not much more expensive than Moorabbin.

If you were to do the MECIR from Moorabbin, you'd be paying for an EN ILS and missed approach which is $35. If you do your MECIR training at Essendon, the ILS approach and landing is included in the $60 landing fee. Factoring in the landing fee at MB, then this is only a difference of $15. Plus you get to do a practice ILS everytime you come home from your IFR Navex.

My advice to Essendon based flying schools is to market themselves as the place in Melbourne for MECIR training.

BTW, there used to be a few schools based at Pt Cook a few years ago. I'm not sure whether this is still the case, but if so, they may be worth looking at as well.

As for this;

Specialise in Airline training, if thats where your headed theres no better place.
sorry, but no-one will be heading for the airlines at 200 hours TT. I don't know why that place is so popular amongst wannabes. May be just good marketing?
