flybymike I will put my hand up and say I have never found that VRP as well.
I know its next to the loop in the river and north of the GBFO mast.
After 2 attempts of finding the sod and getting told I am nowhere near it I came to the conclusion that it was cheaper to pay the IFR approach fee than fly up and down that river looking for it. Then when I realised that by paying the extra I got to bypass all the VFR traffic orbiting there really was no contest. I even did it in my CPL test and the examiner wasn't happy until we flew by it and all I heard on the intercom "what a stupid place to put a VRP" and the subject was never mentioned again.
