I will say it once more !
There is no hiring happening in Maun at the moment so apart from saying hello to the CP's and getting your face known nothing is likely to happen. I would go once you here there is some movement otherwise you are spending money with no chance of success.
I was talking to my mates there just a couple of days ago and it is really quiet. When I went and worked there I checked before leaving that there was at least some hiring going to happen which is the opposite of now.
And as someone pointed out earlier, go there because you want to fly in Africa not because you just want hours. If this is not the case become one of the many bitter and twisted instructors you can find at most local airfields.
