My CPL was issued in under 2 weeks.

iv) Evidence of Identity
• Original Passport or Birth Certificate as Evidence of Identity (certified copies by the UK training provider are acceptable).
Please note:- Existing holders of a UK Professional Flight Crew Licence or holders of any UK-JAR-FCL Pilot licence can ignore this
requirement
Do you already have a JAA PPL? If so the passport is not required. If you got any other ICAO PPL before doing your CPL, then it is. Either way, you don't need to send them the original document.
