I used to live in Ross, so know the area quite well.

I agree with all the previous comments, but would just add another quirky thing to do in Gloucester- The Packaging museum(Robert Opie?) on the docks. Fascinating little place showing, surprise surprise, the history of packaging. Some real blasts from the past there!

It's also very close to the cathedral too.

Unless the city centre has been nuked in the last few years, then I'm afraid to say it has the feel of a rundown inner city fovella

Oh, and on behalf of my friends at Aston Down(Cotswold GC), don't go bumbling through their overhead on your way over from Laandon!.
