In my experience the worst thing is controlling over the North Sea when there are fighters about controlled by AWACS. They think its perfectly acceptable to vector onto your aircraft and turn away at 10 miles, which, whilst perfectly, makes you give avoiding action as a fighter closing on you with unknown intentions makes for a sweaty situation! Absolutely no way to co-ordinate with the AWACS either!!
