As the Head of Operations, I must say I pleased to see the positive feedback!
Not much more to add, plenty to see and do locally. Gloucester cathedral is one of the finest in the UK, unfortunately, it's in the middle of Gloucester, which certainly isn't one of the UK's finest cities! Cheltenham is lovely; great food, shopping etc.
A couple of 'points of order.' Not that it applies in stansted_dan's case, but the landing fee is discounted to £15 with a 50ltr fuel uplift (and our fuel is one is very cheap - Sept '09 £1.41 inc VAT and new Duty rate). We've changed our security procedures during the scheduled services and GA folks can now use the 'tradesman's entrance' without delay, unless you'd prefer to be frisked by one of our Firemen/Security staff.
One of the prettiest parts of the country to fly in, with no controlled airspace to worry about. Nothing finer than a bimble down the Severn Estuary after departure, turn right at Chepstow than back up the Wye Valley to Ross-on-Wye.
