I accepted to join CX before the ban was officially in place. I joined after it was in place. I wish I had as much information about the whole situation then, as you guys have now. I came from a very small outfit, without a union. My last job was in such a remote place and we were so busy, reading Pprune was simply not something I did. CX told me not to worry about the ban and I did not really inquire further about it. I was just so blinded by the fact that I was going to cruise in an A340. I simply posted here to help you make an informed decision, not to be attacked on a very personal level. I have always been considered to be a “nice guy” and now I fell as if I was a hired mercenary.

sleepless in hk.... no offense but it sounds like you need to grow some balls....
people making phone calls and scaring you in the night, why dont you tell them to meet you somewhere so you can "discuss it like gentlemen". thats what i would do with tactics like that.

Collar! If you ever make it to HKG and get hired by CX, How about if YOU and I meet somewhere so we can "discuss it like gentlemen"? I received four phone calls, three in the middle of the night. Should I have had four “discussions” with those blokes?

then whinging about your girl friend not being there because she was bored.

I simply stated that she had left, I was not whinging about it.

ive spend many and hour / dollar in wanchai. could amuse myself for months there.. some of the 24 hr hairdressers are very friendly.... you dont need her now do you? i can give you some names and addresses if need be. ps remember you want one in each port anyway...

You really are a genius Collar.

Collar’s quote:
just remember youve got a job with a damned good airline.

Pretty good airline managed by some pretty ruthless people. When the Crew Manager told me “I STRONGLY suggest….” You should have seen his demeanour. I really felt intimidated by that Crew Manager and IT WAS weird.

Collar’s quote:
cant believe you went and asked them for time off.

I did not go and request time off. They asked me to come for a “chat” after I called regarding the harassment that I was facing. Only after I felt completely at ease with the Crew Manager, I thought about requesting UNPAID leave for a while. Since you do not have a clue about what life has been for me for the past few months…why bother.

That was my last post on this forum, all the best to all.
