Geez, Flintstone. Do you think I should go back to flying around the always balmy, CAVU North Sea for another few years (again) just in case? Christ knows N.Sea weather north of Scotland is completely different to the rest of those maritime latitudes. Or maybe my quarter century doing short notice domestic & international public transport flights to places I've never been before is a year or two short?
I realise it was damned unprofessional of me not to be bothered to go to my reference library to get performance data for the sake of a discussion about a relatively unlikely to occur flight. Of course, everyone knows that performance data for max range flights is something one should memorise for each one of the 30 or 40 types one has flown. Eliminates the whole library thing *and* saves having to keep such data in the aeroplane. Especially if you ignore all the model variants. Mea culpa.
