Before Ryanair flew to GRO it was closed (as in shut) for four months of the year, and the rest of the time a few charter airliners flew in there. Now FR are flying 6,000,000 a month (June figures) thro GRO.
If they pull out of the route ? Are you suggesting they'll cut 50 flights a day ?
Choice, yeah, I do have one. Drive for three times as long to reach El Prat (and sit in a traffic jam for one of those hours on the Ronda Littoral) to pay twice as much with BA or IBERIA and then walk into a baggage strike at Heathrow. Great.
Actually there IS a choice. Drive an hour north to Perpinan and take the TGV to Paris (5 hours, €45 first class) and the Eurostar to central London for 35 quid.
Pure luxury.
