I cant speak for ET, as I never worked for them, but I can speak for Qwila, as I did work for them. First of all Bruce SOLD Qwila, it didn't close down.
Furthermore, they didn't ruin the contract industry by paying higher wages, they paid a fair wage for the work being done, it was most of the other companies that were/ are short changing their crews.
Qwila had good contracts like the ICRC which paid more, and that was in turn filtered down to the crews, but not in some astronomical figure that your post suggests. I also worked for an American outfit doing the same contracts, and was paid almost double the SA salaries!!!
