The air race started bang on time. The problem arose because the slowest aircraft which went first was a Eurostar. The next aircraft, an AA1, took off almost twenty minutes later. The last aircraft, a Baron, started at +37:28.
We saw the Stearman coming towards us and wondered why he was in the air.
Shame the strong winds ruined things, there was a lot of turbulence at Dover.
