A company cannot materially change your conditions without you agreeing to it.
No?????????? The company in question have become rather good at 'stealth' changes in T & C's. Just think back over the last 3 or 4 years to all the smaller and bigger changes that have gone though. Oh yes we all moan, the crew council does its best to put over a crew point of view and a few of us try to encourage BALPA membership to stop or reduce greater reductions and improve communication but nothing gets done and the management get their way. Then in 6 months time there's another change in conditions so by then we've all forgotten about the previous one.
I hope the above are only rumors but I have heard though galley and crewroom fm that there are meetings around early August to discuss winter tactics..........
In the meantime, I hope those in the company who are anti-BAPLA or just unsure if they should join will at least take a little time to weigh up the pro's and con's of membership rather than just sitting on the fence hoping it'll all go away.
