The media imbeciles who print/feature this sort of nonsense are too dumb to realise that RYR obtain lots of FREE publicity this way.
When in their own box, journalists, their editors and the marketing department are actually pretty bright crayons. Aviation or anything specialized is outside their box, so they will mess up significant details because of ignorance or instructions from higher up. In beastly totalitarian countries We don't like, this latter event is called "Censorship"; in countries We like, this is called "News Management".

More specifically, what usually happens is that you give a regular advertiser a few freebies now and then, e.g. for every USD 10,000 of advertising we'll publish three press releases you fax us. To keep relations well-oiled an friendly, a corporation will wine & dine the journalists assigned to cover it, with little take-home gifts after coffee and the last digestif -- anything from a basket of the company's food products to a pair of airline tickets.

This is the way of our world.
