From what I can tell, Mrs Maggs has gone to the trouble of having a silencer fitted that brings the helicopter noise to a level somewhere between that of a vacuum cleaner, and standing 5 metres away from a busy road
reference here. Other comparisons are the maximum noise limit for a snowmobile under Wisconsin laws (78dB), or the stated Safe Level for a child hearing through ear defenders/hearing protectors (78dB)

Having got nowhere with the Council, I suspect that the poor old dear is now turing to popular support to justify her case.
