In 1968, 41 years ago, the standard schedule time (ie block time plus all your contingency etc) between Heathrow and Liverpool was 40 minutes, on a British Eagle One-Eleven. BEA One-Elevens to Manchester were the same. What a step backwards to nowadays, schedule of 65 minutes and for ever creeping upwards.
