Was looking at the Girona newspaper today.
Ryanair have beaten all previous records by bringing in 60,200,000 passengers to Girona airport the last 12 months, six million in June 2009 alone.
This is "little" Girona airport, which up to eight years ago was closed for four months of the year as "too little traffic to warrent it being staffed".
Ryanair also fly into Barcelona and Barcelona-Reus, so heaven knows how many people they carry in total to the Costa Brava each year.
Fortunately we have only six weeks until they are all heading back home again, leaving us in peace !
