Ryanair cannot grow for ever
Ryanair wants to operate tax free in the UK on the ground that it brings in money to UK. I am sure most of its planes were taking people out of the UK with money to spend overseas. It is not the departure tax that is stopping growth but the fact the cheap credit has ended. People will still take the big summer break but the days of a monthly city break for some are over.
I am sure that Ryanairs growth has been at the expense of the other airlines at Birmingham, East Midlands & Coventry. Ryanair are now not going to provide BHX with the pax but I sure MOL still wants even more of a discount. It could be time for BHZ to raise the fees for MOL as he is not holding up his side of the bargin.
