Having spent 11 & 1/2 hrs yesterday sitting in either Airplanes or Airports and getting served a hot lunch and then a cold dinner in its box, I wasn't overly impressed.
Lunch was served on a flight between Darwin & Adelaide and it consisted of a hot meal of curry and rice, with the bread roll, Tim Tam, and salad, with hot beverages on offer.
Dinner was served on the Flight between Adelaide and Sydney and it was cold lunch meat, with potato salad and coleslaw, a small punnet of water, with a Cadbury Topdeck chocolate and a bread roll. No hot drinks were offered outside of business class.
The lady in the seat next to me asked for a vegetarian meal and was told there was none available, but was eventually given one that a business class passenger has declined.
Somehow, I think service is fast disappearing from the "Service Industries".
