Niamey it is.
I stand to be corrected but I understand the Transair DC-7B was chartered in August 1968 by a Danish priest to fly medicinal supplies into Sao Tomei and was transiting though Niger. The pilot was Count Gustav von Rosen the Chief Pilot for Transair who had previously had a somewhat adventurous flying career. He was persuaded to make a flight from Sao Tomei to Uli, Biafra with humanitarian aid and he did so without reference to his employers.
A little later he organised a rudimentary air force for the Biafrans using redundant Swedish MFI-9B trainers converted to hold twelve rockets in pods under the wing. It was claimed they destroyed at least four MIGs, one Ilyushin 28, two Canberras, a Heron and a control tower!
