Take all your stuff to them if you can. They won't do it any quicker than the 10 working days or what ever they say it is, but at least you will know it is there and you have gained a day over posting it.
I had a minor problem with my issue too, they sent me everything back through the post, (on the very last day they state) and with-in 2 hours I was back in their office with the required paperwork (that I'd offered them when I first dropped it off but they didn't take
). They then issued my license for me that day whilst I waited.
Think of it this way, whats cheaper ?. Driving it to LGW (or even using a same day courier service if you can't drive yourself) or having to re-do the CPL ?.
