Richard, regards the runway extension. Given the credit crunch meaning folks aren't taking foreign holidays, I believe BAA have looked hard at the holiday destination options from Aberdeen and have decided to actually shorten the runway and extend the caravan park at the north end and open it as a proper caravan holiday park. Talks are ongoing with Donald Trump to use some of the sand he doesn't want to create an artificial beach.
