...Did something like that some years ago. my son serving in the RAF was detached to the Gulf and onboard 'Lusty'. Fast forward 2 years and he gets an invite for a families day on said ship in Portsmouth, Mum and dad get an invite too. Middle of the mornining ship start her engines they cast off and we go for a sail around the I-O-W complete with Harrier and helicopter displays, sail back into harbour sitting right up on the front of the flight deck waving at the 'round the harbour' pleasure boats. Brilliant and thanks Navy!
