OK, I've kept an eye in here and I am now posting with a clear head. I am moving on the same path as shaablamm. Occasionally these threads come along and always the people get on and talk about "seperating the men from the boys".

There are some out there wondering when the "men" get thier turn. Regular pruners know where I am at and what am trying to achieve. So when does the seperating begin...??

I have been actively seeking a flying job for 1 year 4 months, I have moved "up north", networked, gone to pubs, hung around wherever and followed all the advice of these "men from the boys" people.

Someone here quoted "this applies to the 500 hour pilot looking for thier first job". I have 200 hours, and I going to be "cleaning out dunnies while waiting" forever...??

I know that there are people out there who have done it longer and tougher, and thats fine. All I want to know is, when is it MY turn. I ask people who HAVE jobs what more can I do to better my chances. Usually the answer is nothing, just wait.

I don't want a jet job, I don't want a turboprop job, I don't want a handout and I don't want sympathy. I worked 4 very hard years to get the money to do my flying training, to "change my life". Now I am doing the same job I was before my training, waiting.

So all the "men from boys" posters. When do I get my chance....?

I know that's selfish and all that stuff, but the original post asked what we "feel".
