And how about the salaries?
Don't want to generalize again, but have heard that bizjet salaries are at least
50% more than airlines?
I mean, it's all about the money after all.
There are bizjets and there are bizjets...as there are airlines and airlines.
Start as a Co on a Citation 500 and you usually earn WAY less than with the airlines (there are huge differences in the airline paycheque as well, so if we talk a real pay airline like Lufthansa or Emirates or the like you will earn maybe a third.)
Fly a Gulf 5 or a Falcon 7X for a company and usually you get about the salary of an Airliner.
If someone looks for a longhaul airliner to fly his Gulf or Global, he will pay propably as good as a 'real' airline, but usually youŽd get less.
I was in ATP school with a guy who is now a 8 year veteran F/O at LH shorthaul on the airbus, he makes a little more than I do as chief pilot on a Citation Sovereign with 19 years experience.
