Another flying school is something that is sorely needed in Nigeria. There is an acute shortage of skilled personnel in the country and very little to attract young, enthusiastic people to the aviation industry.
There are a couple of proposals currently being progressed and it is possible that we will see a school set up fairly soon. The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority is about to enact new regulations that will make it simpler to get a flying school up and running.
Some problems you will face include getting reliable supplies of avgas and it may be that some of the newer diesel engined aircraft could be suitable. There might also be some resistance to establishing a school that teaches more than PPL because some believe that NCAT should be the school for those wanting professional licenses.
Good luck, I think there's an opportunity there as many in the country will agree but, as always in Nigeria, it's the execution of the plan that's the challenge.
