Heres one for you!
Hellos there, I have a rather complex situation and I need help please !
Can a JAA frozen ATPL license holder do the base check (touch & go) for a new type rating on an "F" registered aircraft (F-WAAA to F-WZZZ (Test and Delivery))?
I need to know because it can save a lot of hassle to complete these touch and go's as soon as we receive the aircraft within the USA before we change its registration to a European one.
I believe it can be done because one way or another European pilots conduct acceptance flights on "F" registered aircrafts before they get the final European registration.
In addition, I believe a JAA TRI is sufficient to do these flights and a TRE is not required, am I wrong?
And finally, as far as the questions above, UK CAA applies the exact same rules for these matters as JAR correct? Cause I have a JAA license trying to get a UK CAA one and I am not sure will it will be one time so I am not sure on which license the TR will be applied to, the UK CAA or JAA
Any notions or experience will be appreciated.
Thanks a lot and happy landings,
LU
