If I'm not mistaken, you may - under one of the following conditions:
- the examiner is authorized to fly the aircraft as PIC or
- you can fly it alone (= single pilot certification), so it does not make a difference what qualifications the examiner has.
Best thing is to ask you local authority and get the qualified reply in writing (by e-mail).
Under all circumstances though make sure that the insurance has no objections! Could be very important if you blow a tire on landing, for instance...
