The cable was sold to me as a Cat5e cable that would internet share.
I think this has proven to be true as I have just finished MSN messenger meeting on the net using the Laptop which is downstream of the desktop.
The dilema is the ability to simultaneously net search on the Two machines. So far windows explorer just gives me the previously mentioned errors.
Maybe solving the DNS problem will be the answer any thoughts?
