buy an SD card - they're cheap enough; then load the MM software and some sample maps onto it & see if it works.
I've put a bigger card in my Road Angel so I can fit the road mapping, some OS maps and 2 x airmaps and it ran fine. It may be that the flymap software is locked to the SD card.
