A quote from someone who's been on this continent long enough to recognise a situation evolving in front of him... because he watched it just north of us nearly 3 decades ago - "What one person receives without working for.... another person must work for without receiving." They will get what they want, because they will continue to strike and burn and destroy property until they get their way. One has to remember that democracy is only about a century old on this continent (2 or 3 generations) - the idea is great, but the practicality is really too hard! Much easier to revert to smashing and destroying rather than discussing and reaching a mutually agreeable solution (without loss of face).
PS - If you thought the building contractors had them over a barrel when they downed tools on the stadiums (a few times)... can you imagine what this lot is going to get up to as we near 2010 and ACSA want to keep all the airports open 24/7 so they can move 50,000 people from A to B every 2 or 3 days? Best you fasten your seatbelts!
