I was minding my own business on Saturday 6th March, around 4.30-4.45pm when my ears picked up the sound of an old airbus coming into LHR. It was one of the DHL A300-600's easily identifiable by it's garish colour scheme. Nothing unusual, but then the next in line was an A310 and then another A310 after that!
I should imagine that there aren't too many of the older airbii (

) flying around anywhere in general, but to have 3 of them in a row in this day and age was for me quite a long shot statistically speaking and with respect to nostalgia somewhat heartwarming. Back in the 80's and 90's there was a plethora of them criss-crossing the skies of Europe, but they are somewhat thin on the ground these days. The powerplants sound is pretty unique these days compared to the newer generations engines.
