What happened to the AoA sensors 1 and 2 (see page 33 of the report, lowest parameter).
One might make a wild guess that they "froze" up...? Bearing in mind the earlier report/comment about taking care of sensors during maintenance.
If somebody with more knowledge on airbus laws could answer that would help
In Altn Law, when the gear goes down, it changes to Direct. This seems to account for some of the Altn <=> Direct Law changes.
Why did the FAC1 and 2 fail ?
I suspect on the first occasion they were switched off to get into Altn law. There was a conversation about "you want Altn Law?" and then both FACs "failed"

There is no switch or button to change laws, so one needs to disable systems (e.g. FACs) to do tests in e.g. Altn / Direct Law.
