It has been on a.net for the last few days and it mentioned crew bidding
for BHX and GLA for late autumn.
Certainly an unusual time to start and it is certainly marginal on distance.
It is shorter than other 757 routes: -
Contintentals Newark - Tegal 3970 miles approx
Delta's CDG - PIT 3900 miles approx
BHX-ORD is about 3860 (various sites used for these figures)
The CO TXL is changing (if not already) to a 762 in winter due to the number of tech stops.
However I have to agree, major major coup it it happens.
More good news Baby are increasing Med school holiday flights this summer by chopping Prague from 12/7 - 11/9, the odd EDI, GLA &
BFS and by working the aircraft even more.
As predicted loads on TK seemed to have improved with the half-term
holiday although another 319 popped in the other day.
