Not casting stones or speculating .... but I find it a tad strange that they can just jack it up (ok with some difficulty) and the lower the gear apparently quite easily ...
before towing it away .....
......the recovery crew managed to lift the aircraft high enough to extend its wheels ......
even allowing for jounalistic inaccuracies ........
