Wow...the penny has finally dropped
I have seen this coming for a long time and that is why i have operated for the last 10 years without an aoc believe it or not quite happily and safely WITHOUT the help of the caa.....but WITH their knowledge and the knowledge of my insurance co .
The lease operations will take over from the aoc,s and the pilots who slagged them off will then be asking for jobs
All ad hoc and joy ride flying etc will just be a thing of the past and it will all be business and thereby taxed accordingly avoiding the huge extra duty on fuel . Of course the aoc,s could still show a little backbone and refuse to pay and save a slow painful death by a thousand cuts . Dont winge about the caa if you are not going to do anything to stop them . Do something or just shut up about their charges
