A quick question from Norway....how come a
few cm. of snow can shut down EGLL? Don't they have snowremoval equipment and cleaning plans, to cope with just little snow like today?
I'm so amazed by this. In Oslo we allmost never close a runway for more than 15 minutes to clean it, and use the other one for combined operation during that time. About a week ago we had like 40cm in a day with just minor delays (we "loose" about 4 arrivals for cleaning the runway)
All my sympathy to you all who had to sort out everything in the air today
