The cuts at Shannon are now to take place 3 months earlier than planned. They will now take effect from the end of March. Shannon-Hahn and Lodz both now axed from the 26th of March (instead of the 29th of June). Reductions on Prestwick, Liverpool, Stansted and Manchester all effective from the end of March. Shannon-Manchester will now reduce from daily to 4 weekly (instead of reducing to 5 weekly). This means the number of flights from Shannon to the Manchester/Liverpool area is to be halved from 14 weekly to 7.
Further to this, another thread is reporting that staff at Shannon have been briefed that the base is to partly close with the loss of 2 aircraft from the start of April. 60 people are to lose their jobs including 20 pilots and 40 Cabin Crew.
