The death of a fellow colleague is sad news no doubt.
It is a known fact that most Pilots recruited from certain parts of the world are heavily addicted to liquor. Perhaps its a matter of time before we get to know of aviation accidents and incidents directly linked to this. That would certainly damage the safety record of UL, as they are all flying Sri Lankan Airlines, whether Cargo or Pax.
It's high time that the Safety Dept does what is required before that happens and introduce random Breathalyzer tests at the Doctors, before flight?
It is already happening in certain parts of the World including our neighboring country India.........better earlier than later.
No point giving us past statistics!
