flybe at bhx
Just to add a bit of balance, I did say that flybe have trimmed their
services at bhx from the second week in January until the Feb half-
term school hoidays.
The word "trim" is quite mild looking at some services. EDI & GLA down
to four a day with six hour gaps in between on some days.
Most cuts seem logical as there are later services etc etc etc. A couple
are unusual with no Monday morning Inverness & Hamburg (reduced to 4
a week until mid Feb).
I understand the reduction on a Wednesday or even Tuesday but Monday
morning is an odd one, must be fleet considerations.
Even with all these cut-backs there are still thousands of extra seats
in the bhx market due to the Ryanair base. It will be interesting to see
the January pax figure, as FR have hardly cancelled any services the
last time I looked at their timetable.
