AEU can't match Jet2s bids. Jet2 own their own aircraft and have been very successful in undercutting everyone else.
Another problem for AEU is that BMI are trying to wriggle out of their side of the bargain
Personally I'd be over the moon for AEU to take Jib back as I'd rather not fly to !!!!holes for 45p duty pay
